breakaway with the e’s

I know I’m so bad. I haven’t posted in way too long. Little things like life and work get in the way of sipping a good cup of homemade coffee and an early morning writing. To remain true to my hectic schedule, I will be a woman of few words today.

Here are a few shots from a quick mini session in the park with these two little cuties. They definitely helped me breakaway from the grind and gave me a much needed day of exercise.

Everett | The Smiley One

every once a while you meet a someone whose shear smile brightens your day. all you do is look into their eyes or their pearly whites and you can’t help but reply with a huge bright grill of your own.  well, today i met everett who, well for lack of a less generic phrase, made my heart melt.  most babies find my camera peculiar and a lil less preferable than the bottle or their favorite toy. however, lil mr. everett  broke out with this smile almost every time my camera popped up.

i so enjoyed my session today. however, as normal, i was very nervous (and i guarantee an incessant stream of verbal nonsense), and wished i could have hung out a bit more with everett. BUT, i still was very grateful for today. i can’t say thank you enough to this beautiful family, with the most amazing home with natural light, for the priceless gift of opportunity. opportunity doing something i love

newborn | maximus x

about 7 years ago i introduced the parents of this guy to each other. mom was a college roommate (i’m not being tricked into saying how long ago). dad worked with me on some TV commercial shoots. from the moment they met, they were madly in love. inseparable. first came love, then came marriage, now the baby carriage.

i’m so excited for them. maximus was a lil vocal during our session at first, but mom and dad knew exactly how to calm him. after only 4 weeks they already know aaaallll about him. love that.

here are just a few quick shots from our 2nd meeting last week.

welcome lil man. you will no doubt live up to your powerful name and conquer all your dreams.

xo

-ps: no watermarks today. can’t distract from this lil man. (oh yeah, and i’m in hawaii on vacation, gotta go outside and enjoy)

giving is awesome | extended deadline

as much as it drives me crazy when other people extend deadlines and i get my in on time, i must do it this one instance.  my amazing friend, paola (mother to the double e’s), has just spread the “giving is awesome” link around children’s hospital LA, where she works in children’s blood disorders.

with the abundance of entries, i am trying to think of way to pick just one person.  i was thinking of possibly doing an open mini-session at a park for a few different families. yet to be decided.

the new deadline is january 20th at 11pm.

if you’ve already entered, please don’t be discouraged. i will still be considering everyone and maybe a few families instead of one.

happy holidays!!!
